Reformed Mission Services is thrilled to announce significant progress in the Calvary Reformed Church 3rd Floor project in Santa Marta, Colombia. The primary goal of this project was to raise funds for constructing a 3rd floor at Calvary Reformed Church to provide space for after-school programs during the week and additional classroom space on Sundays. Once completed, it will allow them to cease paying rent on their current facility, enabling them to help more students with learning. This too, will allow Calvary to continue providing medical check-ups for the community's children, including some Venezuelan refugees. Thanks to the unwavering support of businesses, generous individuals, and churches, the funding will soon be secured to turn this vision into reality.
This project exemplifies how RMS sends funds to purchase materials and hire local contractors to construct facilities. This strengthens local economies while at the same time connecting those who donated, the congregation, and those working on the project. Currently, the construction work is in full swing and nearing completion. In the future, RMS will send a representative to Santa Marta to see the work being done and encourage the members of Calvary Reformed Church.
Rev. Edison Flores, the pastor of Calvary Reformed Church, emphasized the importance of your generosity, saying, "Your contributions have been instrumental in this important work for the Kingdom of God." As we celebrate this milestone, let's thank God for His mercy and provision throughout this journey. We pray that this project will address the immediate space needs and become a place where many souls come to know the Lord.
